Struggling to find the perfect outfit each morning?
Sometimes, a rebrand doesn’t start with a website.
In fact, most times I think it shouldn’t.
A lot of times the things we think we need to be credible or professional or ready aren’t even necessary at all on this journey.
The rebrand doesn’t start with a logo, a tagline, or even a business plan.
It doesn’t even require it most time.
Sometimes it simply starts with a closet.
Kim came to me in the middle of a transition she could feel but hadn’t fully named yet.
On paper, she was already exceptional—a sommelier with deep expertise in wine, trained palate, and a real presence in her field. But what she was building next was bigger than what she had already mastered.
She wanted to make wine more accessible.
Not watered down. Not simplified in a way that stripped it of its depth. But approachable. Welcoming. Less intimidating.
A bridge between luxury and everyday experience.
Wine, but for everyone.
Sophistication, but make it accessible.
And while her vision was clear in conversation, her visual identity hadn’t caught up yet.
When we first went through her wardrobe, it told a slightly different story.
It was full of very fun pieces—playful, expressive, colorful, eclectic. Clothes with personality. Clothes that had carried her through earlier versions of herself beautifully.
But they didn’t yet reflect the woman she was becoming.
They didn’t match the authority of a sommelier.
They didn’t reflect the sophistication of her expertise.
And they didn’t yet communicate the elevated accessibility she wanted her brand to embody.
She wasn’t starting over.
She was simply evolving.
So we began there.
Not by erasing who she had been—but by shaping that version into who she wanted to be.
Therefore, I asked a different set of questions:
From there, we built a visual identity that aligned with her next chapter.
We styled a photoshoot that became more than content—it became positioning. And, nore importantly, it became a narrative.
Every look was designed to reflect clarity. Authority. Ease.
Confidence.
Elegance.
Refined intention.
Sophistication.
We curated looks that told a story; that sent a very clear message.
And something powerful happened after that shoot.
Kim didn’t just have new photos.
She had new perception.

Those images began working for her immediately—long before she ever spoke in a room or poured a glass of wine.
She started landing collaborations.
Content partnerships followed.
Her voice was taken more seriously in spaces where she had always belonged but was not always seen.
And the shift wasn’t because she became someone new.
It was because she finally looked like the expert she already was. And every bit of her social presence began to reflect it, too.
This is what most people don’t realize about rebranding.
It’s not just visual.
It’s energetic.
And it’s cohesive.
I often say that your personal brand encompasses everything from your signature to your social media; because at every touchpoint where someone can interact with you, they will file away their own perception of who you are.
That’s why it’s so important to create the narrative.
Your aesthetic should create alignment between what you do, what you know, and what people see when you enter the frame.
Kim didn’t change her expertise.
She didn’t change her passion.
She changed how she showed up in it.
And sometimes, that is the difference between being overlooked and being recognized.
Between being talented and being visible.
Between having a vision and being known for it.
Her wardrobe didn’t just support her rebrand.
It helped launch it.
And that is the power of dressing the version of yourself you’re becoming—not just the one you’ve been.
If you’re in a season of transition—building something new, stepping into a leadership role, or reintroducing yourself to the world—your visual identity matters more than you think.
This is exactly what we explored with Kim’s rebrand. And it’s also the heart of this month’s newsletter: how self-image, style, and storytelling shape the way the world sees (and responds to) you.
Read more on my blog to see how your wardrobe can become the launchpad for collaborations, partnerships, and a whole new level of visibility as you take your own step into your next chapter.
